Hey my 5-year-old self, EAT YOUR HEART OUT! Seriously, though, these pancakes are made of pure sourdough starter and they are crispy on the outside and tender and chewy on the inside. If you make real sourdough bread, you probably struggle with finding ways to use the extra sourdough starter every time you feed your starter. Viola! Here you have it. Make that starter even BIGGER and make some of the best, most nutritious pancakes you’ve ever had. The PBJ stack is fun, delicious, and just a good reason to make a yummy mess!
My recipe for sourdough starter pancakes is VERY forgiving so you can simply eyeball your starter and make an educated guess as to how much ya got there. Also, cook them in coconut oil for the most delightful, subtle coconut flavor and a lightly crisp exterior.
Make these, reduce waste, be happy:)
